This blog is supposed to be about all sorts of things but, shall we say, Buffy the Vampire Slayer is a minor interest of mine.

I think I'll do the protective big sister thing and skip viewing the body to keep her from having to relive her experience. I haven't lived in the same state with her for over six years but we're moving back so it will be good to be there and to help her get through her hard times.

My son is ten and he saw the end of "I Was Made to Love You" but we missed this episode out. He's just not ready for it. I'm sorry to hear about your sister's experience: it must have been tough.

I think this is an exceptional episode and it was so well written but it pulls at my heartstrings every time I see it. I'm trying to get my sister (17) into Buffy but I'm afraid to show her this episode - she had an experience similar to that of buffy in this episode when she was quite young and I still worry that she has not recovered fully from discovering "the body". What would you do if your kid had a similar experience to that of buffy in this episode, only younger. Would you let them see this episode in order to fully appreciate the way Joss deals with things and what an amazing writer he is, or would you shelter them and skip this episode and possibly the end of the episode previous to this one?
