This blog is supposed to be about all sorts of things but, shall we say, Buffy the Vampire Slayer is a minor interest of mine.

There were too many little annoyances in this film to make it great (and that seems to be the way with Capra and me). The violence was depressing and bothered me an awful lot. The corn was occasionally too corny. The committal scene was frustrating because it made no sense that Longfellow would just sit in silence, letting the big-city-folk railroad him like that. And actually that whole big-city/small-town thing is a bit annoying...Jean Arthur was great though.
