I know that I am Mr. Positive, when it comes to most things BTVS, so sorry. I have to say that the intro of the slayers feels, to me, like a powerful new addition to the mythology. And the speeches, while noticable and hardly ever subtle, shows the evolution of Buffy into a leader who truly thinks, teaches and strategizes instead of the "give me something I can hit" mantra of her beginnings.

Yeah... this is welcome to the slumpy bit of the season and the many, many speeches etc - but it certainly picks up again later.
