<p>Some meat and fish has sneaked in from my pre-vegetarian days. I had my first Krispy Kreme doughnut about three months ago. <p>I don&#8217;t think the USA were going to win anyway but this second card for Boxx certainly ended any chances of them beating Brazil. What made me cry (yes, cry) was Cristiane&#8217;s behaviour. Well, that says goodbye to the sexist nonsense that women footballers are more sporting than the men.</p>

My sister and her husband celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary today while my mum and dad celebrated their 50th in January. My sister and her girlfriend have been together 16 years while for Andy and me it&#8217;s 17 years. That’s over 100 years of bliss or something like that.

I don&#8217;t want to wear a red poppy: the British Legion supports servicemen and not the civilians who gave their lives in munitions factories, shipyards, coal mines and their own homes and I want to remember them too.
